I added a bone to a tank so that you could attach a guy to it . To do that I had to make the bone and edit all the tank animations so the bone was where it was suppose to be in all the animations .

animations
{
idle jeep.skc
high jeep_high.skc
low jeep_low.skc
level jeep_level.skc
lean_right jeep_lean_right.skc
lean_left jeep_lean_left.skc
lean_forward jeep_lean_forward.skc
lean_back jeep_lean_back.skc
skidding jeep.skc
{

the vehicles need these animations each one had for the tank about 5 key frames each so I had to position the bone I added in each key frame . I am not a modeler but was able to do that much . I think if you make a vehicle with at least a driver bone and a eyebone if you want it to be drivable . and a turret bone should work . For drivable vehicles the turret bone is nessesary I think and the eyebone so you can look around while driveing it . For a ai driven vehicle I don't think you need those just the driver bone to attach the ai to .
