My MOHAA Tools is pissing me off!

Post by Fu Man »

For a while now when ever I start up my MOH Tools before it finishes loading I get a window with:

"MoHRadiant will not work if the following information is not set correctly.
Make sure the basepath points to the Allied Assault directory (where MOHAA.EXE is).
Mapspath is where to keep .map files; it can be different from where .bsp's go."

I click OK, then the 'project settings' window comes up with the basepath, mapspath etc..

It never used to do this except for when I first installed it. Now I get it all the time and I would like to know why and how I can sort it out!?!

The other problem I have is with 'MOH Map Builder'. Every time I try to complie a map I get "Error; Max Surface Info" and then "Error opening C:\(directory)\(map filename).bsp: No such file or directory". So in the end 0 files are copied and no BSP is created?!?!

Please somebody help me!

Thanks

I get that everytime I open mine and my paths are correct...I thought it was just a common error.

Thanks General Death,

I tried that and it seems to work on the "Error; Max Surface Info", but I still get;

"Error opening C:\(directory)\(map filename).bsp: No such file or directory"

I've been getting since well before I installed Spearhead. It used to be occasionally when the map I was compiling was a particularly big and complicated map. Now I get it all the time and I can't complie a thing!

One other thing I just remembered. Before I installed Spearhead I had no problem putting in spawn points in the MOH Radiant, now I can't find them?!

Why o' why!?

Thanks

When mapping and complieing rename "mainta" to something like "tamainta". Then when you want to play Spearhead rename it back to "mainta".

If you cant put in spawn points it sounds like your entdefs.pk3 is not in the "main" folder or has become corrupt.

Ah yes it was the endefs.pk3.

When I reinstalled MOH Radiant I forgot to put it in place.

It's always the most obvious thing you over look isn't it!
