Stargate Prob

Ok the way i want my stargate to work is as follows: -

1. Trigger is pushed
2. Inner Ring Rotates Briefly Say 4 Seconds and then stops
3. Lights surrounding the stargate light up
4. Puddle effect appears.

Currently I got 1,2 & 4 Working.

The lights light up as i've got them with show/hide of the puddle

But how do i get the rotating inner ring to work bearing in mind this would have to work from the same trigger_use that starts the process, - Is it possible to have 2 different things running off the same trigger??

I probly will use the rotatex/y/z in the script but like i say how do i get 2 things running off the same trigger?

Put a Key "setthread" and Value "activate_gate" for the trigger.

In the script thread named "activate_gate", rotate both rings and do all the other stuff too. If you need to overlap the timing of things, just make more threads and start them from the "activate_gate" thread.

activate_gate:

$ring1 rotateZ 40
thread more_stuff
wait 5
$ring1 rotateZ 0

end

more_stuff:

$ring2 hide
$ring3 show

end

Then go out and buy another 6 pack of brain cell remover.

Wooohoooo!!!!!!! lol Cheers Tom it rotates then lights and the puddle displays it's gettin there.

I'm gonna put up the pk3 so u can take a gander, but as you'll see there are 2 problems remaining

1. I'm unsure on how to get the rings working from the trigger on the way back

2. For some unknown reason the gate is active on spawn and i have no idea why

the teleporter is never inactive :? check whether its targetname really is gate1_tele...

Good catch wacko!!! that sorted it.

So this should be done 2morrow if i sort out the other problem
