Post by tltrude »

Just found this site that tell about the new physics engine we will see this fall with Metal of Honor Pacific Assult.

http://www.havok.com/clients/ea_la.php

Check out the Medal Of Honor Pacifc Assault Video! Apparently a new terrain system will allow us to create worlds 5 times larger then Mohaa!

Is there going to be a mapping program/engine with it?

Even though I'm a medal of honor junkie, I am more impressed with what valve has done with this engine. I had a look at the huge high res teaser available at file planet for half life 2, and I got shivers up and down my spine. Hopefully this pacific assault vid is just a small portion!

Even though it will use this new physics engine, it will still be a "Quake3" type game and I'm sure a radiant editor will be supplied. But, I don't know if it will come with the game, or be downloadable later on.

my bet is that it will use the same kind of thing as mohaa did. kinda like the editor for CoD as its almsot the same but a teenie weenie bit different.
