there are several model programs, 3d studio max, milkshape, lighray (lighttray????) all of which are good, but cost money, unless you know some people who know some people who robbed some people (starsky and hutch). you can get tuts on the internet, head over to TMT forums and they have a post dedicated to tutorials. Shifty is a good modeler too so talk to him, and mohaa rox is pretty good too.
There are only 10 kinds of people in this world; those who know what binary is, and those who don't.

might as well post here too ..
I now have a 3d model of a jetpack that i know im gonna need help with.
Ive been doing the gravity changes per player at a trigger and they recieve low gravity, now i need someone to add the jetpack to the game (mohaa) that can be used at the trigger.
I know sod all about adding new models to the game or how they attach to people.
Can it be added via scripting alone or does it need put in through radiant?
it needs to be usable for stock maps as well as new ones.
