"Stalingrad 1943" OBJ & DM released!

I herby release "Stalingrad 1943" to you in OBJ and DM versions.

The new version contains:
- Blazing FPS.
- One objective that moves randomly between 3 locations each round ( A bit like The Hunt, but its not a Flak88 :) ).
- More bombed out houses ( to reduce sniper dominance a bit ).
- New loadingscreens and status screens.
- A little more ambientlight.
- There is no monkey.
- Hordes of small error fixes.
- Really depressing mood of the hoplessness of war, running around in the remains of a bombed out city that once was the home of real people.

This thread contains some screenshots.

Get the OBJ here! ( 2.5 Mb )
Get the DM here! ( 2.5 Mb )

Remember "Stalingrad 1942" by Drecks? I do, and I asked him for the source... And because I asked nicely he gave me the latest version of it: "Stalingrad 1943". It was only a DM map, but I fixed that and a few other problems.

This map is so great I want to poop my pants.

Anyways, this map is superbly playable and has a great ambiance... love the moving cloud coverage...

Because if you have a modem and just want one of the versions you should be able to.

But as they use the exact same BSP file ( just renamed ) it is kind of a space waste anyway, but I never found a way to run the same BSP as both DM and OBJ with only separate scripts.

Well i hope you all like the map and gonna play it with much joy.
I think Bjarne did a great job on it so have fun.

I don't have SP nor MoHaa on my comp so i;m not gonna see this...
I started mapping for COD.

Yo Drecks!

I had great material to work from :)

I consider the current version a BETA, as I'm going to add some more stuff to it in a release soon to come. The primary change will be to add some more cover to make the map more balanced for both long and short range weapons. The changes I did so far balanced that a great deal, but it needs some more tweaking before I'm satisfied.

And Dreks: I'll be sure to mail you a link to some screens when I release the final version so you can have a look at your baby even without mohaa ;)

Great map... still having 'hella' fun on it and looking forward to the next release. Can hardly wait to put it on the server and go !

I like it Bjarne ..great job on the fps for such an open map.
Love the fast moving clouds.
Would like to play it with others at some time as then i think we would see the real deal.
On a side note do .map have any kind of dedicated server that we can all get on and play our creations?
What better way to test our maps with all the people here..would be a great test and full of useful input in my opinion.
I can provide such a server if the demand is there.
We could for instance have custom map testing on a particular day/evening.
Get back to me if you would like to take this idea further.

No, no dedicated .MAP server.

But I do have a server running custom maps that I'm trying out for a league. Its named Game-Hosting Custom Maps (maps at.www.game-hosting.com) ( the IP varies, so searsh for it in the browser ).
