Don't delete, you can open the .map file with Wordpad. Your map may have an error that stops the whole thing for loading in the editor. If you can spot the error in the text and correct it, your map may still be saved. I had this happen when I added quotes to a trigger message, but I found it in wordpad and fixed it.
Also, the file that ends with .bak is a backup of your map. You just change it from .bak to .map to use it. And, if snapshots was on, you may have a lot of backup copies.

it's happened to me too m8, just keep at it.
and all i can say is keep a backup of your map about every ten times you work on it. it'll really be a good habit.
and check your script and get it working before adding new thinngs, otherwise it'll be so overloaded with errors you might get really frustereated and quit the script.

Yea I had an error like this, and it was really frustrating until I remember it makes .bak files. What happend was I saved my map, and for some reason it had an error and I didnt realize it. Well come the next day I open my map, and it has a ton of errors. I look at the accual file in explorer, and it was 0kb. Good ol' .bak files they saved my life
Another thing....woah bud, the size of the grid.....that would take hours to walk from one side to the next. What kinda map is this? Did u try and map the world? And talk about bad fps.
