MORE DOOR QUESTIONS

Post by greywolff »

Ok folks I fixed my last door problem. Thanks everyone for the help with that. but now here is my next question. I made a door. easy enough right. selected the door and origin and gave it the func_rotatingdoor then went to the entity window and typed in KEY:alwaysaway......VALUE:1.. compile the map and go in. Now when I open the door it opens like it is sopposed to. But when I go through it and try to open it from the other side it does'nt swig away but instead it opens towards me. Any ideas as to why. Thanks agian.

You need to set the angle of the door also. The direction from the origin to the center of the door.

I think I did that right but I could be wrong. Let me see if I have it correct. 90 deg. is towards the top of the 2d window right. therefore if the door is pointing to the top for the 2d window with the origin towards the bottom of the 2d window then I would set the angle at 90 deg. right? And if thats right then I don't think thats what I'm doing wrong. ahhhhh....sucks being a newbie.....lol

Try adding this key and value:

alwaysaway
1
