[EVDI]'s Steel Butterfly has got up a petition demanding that EA Games starts doing something about online cheating in its game by producing an official Anti-Cheat pack.
The wording is as follows:
"Provide an Official Anti-Cheat for the Medal of Honor Series:
We the following have become disillusioned and appalled by the cheating that has become rife within our beloved game. Without your support for an official Anti-Cheat, the Medal of Honor series is doomed, including the new and exciting Pacific Assault and other games that may follow.
Due to your lack of support for the Medal of Honor series, we feel we can no longer purchase any games within this incredible series until the official Anti-Cheat matter is rectified and we can play this amazing game without suspicion or fear of cheating.
Therefore, we the following have decided to boycott all future installments within the Medal of Honor series until such a time as you, EA Games, can provide us with support and an official Anti-Cheat we so desperately need.
We hope that you will consider our petition and support our cause to obtain an official Anti-Cheat for the wonderful series that is Medal of Honor."

like i've said before, i think either the servers ought to stop cheats themselves or funnel cheaters to new locations!!! i used to cheat pretty effectively, subtle etc. health 130 (small boost) and walkspeed, etc. but i stopped. cheaters are not bad people, they play differently. the game makers provided the cheats and methods of easily accessing littler known things (like spawn) and it's too easy to cheat.
so i say buck up and work for yourselves and stop bit***ing or get a new game!!! this is just like the government trying to stop "violent" video games. people are whiners and try to get the big guy to do stuff for them so he does and then everyone is mad at the whiners.
i hate this sort of stufff, tell those guys to stfu and go to www.invisiblewarriors.com.
btw, i am the all-time worst cheater available. in sp, i can do anything basically. in mp i now watch myself. except in places i do not respect. even then i don't cheat very much.

I really do not mind cheaters. Over my moh:aa career, i have developed tactics and strategies that can KILL wallhackers, aimbots, and other forms of cheats. But that's besides the point. I myself do not see the reason for cheating... you aren't proving anyone ANYTHING. Sooner or later you WILL get caught and you WILL lose every dose of respect you have somehow earned.. your name will be spread throughout the servers. IF you hack because you are fed up with the guys that have been playing for 3 years and have mastered the game... that is no excuse. THere is still no point in doing it! IF you want to become good, practice! spectate the really good guys! If you are suspicious of someone hacking, just spectate them, its easy to tell that way.. if you still aren't sure, here is a system i use. I have wallhacks to spectate people with, I NEVER EVER play with them, but i will stick them on and spectate a suspicious person... you will catch them easily and they will be removed. If i cheated, id get burnt out of the game so fast because i would already be 'good' at the game and i would know where everyone was... That in itself removes the entire gameplay, with gives life to moh:aa for me!

it was fun, it added a whole new dimension
i didn't jsut use old fashioned cheats like dog, wuss, wallhacks, or aimbots (never used wallhacks/aimbots) i was more in it because it wass challenging and added a whole new side. i never maliciously took advantage of my power thoguh sometimes a u-boat would suddenly appear in the bbridge map.....
but Cheetohs, i see your point of view. and i too think cheaters who use their sklls to usein gameplay to make up for their abysmal actual game skills are lousy jerks.

I don't mind cheating and what not on SP maps, but in MP no way Jose! 
lizardkid, you're right, there are just too many people who whine! Well I say boohoo and suck it up and move on. Especially people who whine about something, then do the thing they are whining about. Or just give them a taste of their own medicine, start cheating and bombard them with that, and then they'll complain about you cheating. Then you tell them that is what you feel like when they cheat. Anyone with even a half a consceince will realise this and stop.
If a certain server is cheating a lot, go to another, there are plenty of them. If you want something done about cheating, maybe the folks complaining should stop doing nothing about it and maybe try to make a program or addon the prevents cheating, and stop whining to the big guys to do something about, it's not entirely their fault, it's the fault of the ones doing the cheating...
EDIT: Heck if I was EA, I would say a big "BOOHOOO!". Do not sign this petetion as probably half the folks who signed it are probably cheaters themselves.

i hate cheating ,i rarely even cheat in sp .its always more fun and challenging to find urself struggling in game play and moving thru the game slowly .it adds to the game experience ,however if u simply use cheats ,the game would quickly become boring .yeah it looks cool that u cant be killed and u can just pop urself in an army of 30 players and kill them all and get out without a scratch .but where is the skill in that ?i cant possibly see how u could enjoy that !!!
that said ,i do use cheats sometimes if i am REALLY stuck somewhere in the sp progress .however i soon deactivate them once i passed that area .

Ea wont do anything about it, i think they put mohaa in a cardboard box in the basement. MOHPA is next so they are focussing on that now.
And it is a good practise to kill cheaters, isnt it? But most times you will get accused of cheating if you have the highest score and get killing sprees... could result in a kick, it's almost like you can't be a good player nowadays.

I can believe I'm reading all this...You can cheat in SP, you can do whatever you want inside your computer, but what about ppl on the other side? Do you think it's ok? Some guys go online for the first time and there is the jerk w/ god's protection...they run away and never come back. Do you really think this is ok?

Try taking your anger of cheaters out on them by blasting them with a bazooka (in game ofcourse) , if you can...
Even when I do cheat in SP I still play like I'm not using dog, not by blasting into a room full but using real tactics, and if I'm running low on ammo I won't use the wuss cheat.

will refrain from swearing at you since i believet that angry people that are openly angry do not get a lot of respect.
your petition was posted at .map mapping medal of honor. i read it and found myself sickened.
there have been numerous posts through the days since then and im going to put them here for you to read so you can find out just how much people think of you now.

my point in using these people's examples is that your petition will cost a good gaming company, you are taking the wrong route for this and being an idiot by doing so. by not patronizing EA you will be working to send EA into the dumps, and you will be losing an awesome line of games. therefore contradicting your own intent. EA needs money and workers for salary to make an anti-cheat become possible. or didn't you consider that when writing up this waste of webspace?
EA has no need to make it's own official anti-cheat. there are tons of them out there for anyone to use. take the one person's idea and go to www.invisiblewarriors.com. Reverand is the best out there right now.
i know this will probably not affect your position in your, hem, comfortable little world, but believe me, you seem to be the scum of america that undermine things that shouldn;t be complained about.
for instance. a woman walked into McDonalds one day (you have heard of McDonalds right? or have you closed your eyes and opened your mouth that long?) and bought a coffee. which she later spilled on her lap.
she sued the fast-food joint and won. now McDonalds is required BY LAW to put "caution, contents hot" on the side of their coffee cups!!!
my insistance is that you do not send this to the best gaming company in the world with your little whinings and complaints,
and do three things
1. tell those people you have gotten to somehow sign your petition that you were wrong and please buy EA products again.
2. stop whining and actually go to a server and see how many whiners like you annoy admins every day.
3. get your head of of your ass, your ears need cleaning. and you need to open your eyes sometimes.
if your brain has finally gotten any form of my message i consider this a success, and hopefully you will be able to force that same sluggish brain into thinking on what you could do in your real life (if you have one) to stop whinig and being a general crybaby.

I didnt say its ok to cheat, i said/meant was that i can live with it. What people have to realize is that any and EVERY game has or will have cheaters in it. No game is cheater-free... THere is always someone who will find a hole in the game and start cheating.

Personaly I disagree with cheating in multiplayer from a perspective of an active clan player.
There is nothing worse than perfecting strategies ect and seeing it ruined by cheats.
Public servers I dont care what you do but if any1 cheats in my clan server they would be kicked and banned as I pay good money for it.
Obviously if its some1's server and their happy to use cheats on it thats fine but please keep it out of competative clan games.
