Breakthrough Localization

Post by MPowell1944 »

I am now adminning a BT server and have been trying effortlessly to edit the taunts. No matter what I do, they do not change on the server, however, they work fine on my own machine.

I have tried putting the .txt file in a /global folder and in a .pk3 file, both with NO LUCK on the server. The only localization.txt file for BT is in pak4.pk3 so I know that it isn't because another might be overwriting it.

Any help appreciated.

Localization is "local" to your computer. The only way to get others to see it, is to send them the pk3 or offer it for download.

lol No it isn't. In AA, localization was server and client sided. If a server does not have the file, then it will work on the client, however, if the server does then the client's will not work. Same with BT.
