Anyway I think the points I was going to make have already been made... in short I think anyone should be careful with this kind of sigs... also in this case it doesn't really add anything or have any functional use.
how many of u guys were annoyed by my sig ?

wow! this topic has really left of since my last visit (only 3 posts,2 were mine
)
i have removed the sig from this thread (since u all so it) until i can persuade them both (darn) or it will be off forever
otherwise they would have removed them !!
also ,there are 4 votes against my sig and 5 for it
edit:
lol ,this site was very funny yarik !!!
well,i did and i removed it ,but i wanted to change his mind hopefully .but i guess in doing so ,i got another admin to disagreeif an admin requests for it to be taken off, you must respect their decisision

its just javascript, not spyware. unfortunately (fortunately?) stuf like that cant be send to someone else withought additional lines of scripting.
i rest my caselook at the script and tell me its not javascript. and yes java can amil it back, but that script isnt. AND it only displays the persons looking at it's ip AANNDD it doesnt store them anywhere
well, most of this data can be obtained by using the dos commands in win xp (cant remember them now) .and that isnt called hackingalso users that see their PC details address on an image are going to get suspicious as to how their IP/ISP/OS was obtained
could i do that? i already have an account at photobucketif u really dont like it, have M&M put it on photobucket or soemthing, so no the company u got it from wont steal it, if they magiaclly figure out how to

i live in 2 locations very far from each otherLive Demo Using IP2Location™ - May 2004
Your IP Address is 82.129.145.101
You're located in
(US) UNITED STATES,
ILLINOIS,
HAMILTON
Your latitude/longitude is
40.4642? LATITUDE and -91.3093? LONGITUDE
You're connecting to the Internet through
RAYA TELECOM - EGYPT
M&M, about not storing, i don't belive there is any way to say something with any form of print in any language i'm aware of that has a variable topic in it that you can't put in without a stacked variable to read from.
ahem, in laymens terms, you can't have something that's not always going to be the same output on screen (like ip address) without first putting it in some sort of variable. in case you haven't noticed the stack is easily accessable. given some time even i could write up a simple program that rifles through the stack and grabs all the variables and their names (more or less binary)
so, in saying that, ill let you try and figure out what i said and quietly disappear.
before i do i'd like to see that script tho. email it to me?

Errm
not really sure what you mean or what your point is... anyway I think as soon as a program is compiled there's no way you're ever gonna retrieve the variable names the programmers used... i.e. if you'd compile the same source with all variable names changed you'd get exactly the same program again
Like I said before I don't really mind it too much, and I would trust you when you are saying it is not collecting anything, but there are a lot of people that wouldn't think the same way. If I was the admin, I would have removed it, but not because I don't trust you, but that something you might have missed and mainly because of liability. If someone sued .map, the admins would be responsible.
well guys ,i removed it already .im not gonna return it unless the admin(s) are convinced (which is the aim of this thread) .i know all that stuff now ,but the informatin displayed in this sig is very easily attainable .usually servers ask for it (specially the ip) to track u .and since it has the ip,it could track where u live and what isp u use .also ,knowing what browser u have is usually a must for servers ,to know how to display the page to u (in lame terms) .i dont know how it tracked the windows though ,but prolly it was also easy .otherwise those sig's would have been warned about them along time ago ,right?
(also removed since it didnt work anyways)
does it work ?
its from my account at photobucket now

No M&M, before it pinpointed my IP and ISP. now it's saying im at propagation.net, dont even want to know which temp file it dug that out of.
the point is M&M, that dude, however innocent you may think he is, is too easy to hack inot. ill bet i could even hack into his code and make it send ip's and ISP's to me. then it's jsut a matter of time before i could make a virus and propagate it.
you have to understand people get nervous when stuff like that that appears on a public site telling them everything a hacker needs to know to virus them or hack into their comp.
i'm guessing that coming from photobucket it's haywired because it's taking info from a site and trying to grab info from a comp looking at it.
