.min file

Post by NoTarget! »

Hi

I have a map that i have made. user-obj_Aztec.pk3
http://home.no/notarget/aztec

When i start my map in mohaa it is work fine. The second time i start my map it dont work, just get back to the moh menu. And in the console it says. ERROR: unknown escape character '\m' in 'maps/obj/aztec.min'

Why?

Because in the main/maps/obj/ folder it is a file called aztec.min
When i delete this file, the map works again!
Why does it create a file called aztec.min ? How does i remove this file?

this .min file is automatically generated by moh when you play your map .

correct me if i have wrong but this file is usefull for players who have a mac and you have to give the pk3 with this min file

now try to remove the min file of your map ....play it and relaod the map again to see if you get kicked again

well the file isnt inthe pk3 but in a maps/dm folder of your main mohaa directory

look inside erase it

load the map quit mohaa then launch again your map to see if you have the trouble again

The min should go along withe the .bsp, .prt, .vis, and .scr files.

This is the right thing to do:

After the final compile, play your map for a while, so the min can be created. when making the pk3 INCLUDE that original min among w/ the bsp, scr and precache.

Mac users cannot play online w/ PC users w/o the original min file :wink: !

The problem is your "aztec.shader" file. You put the wrong slash marks for the path of the tga image. They should be "/".

aztec
{
nomipmaps
nopicmip
cull none
force32bit
surfaceparm nolightmap
{
map $whiteimage
}
{
clampMap textures\mohmenu\objloading\aztecload.tga
blendfunc gl_one_minus_src_alpha gl_src_alpha
}
}

That ".lin" file is created when you have a leak into the outside void in your map. It is not needed in the pk3, as it is only an editor file. Also, .vis is an editor only file.

Would that have anything to do with the min file? :? And I thought you had to use '\' not '/' :? I guess I'm wrong. :oops:
