ok i have a huge compiling error i took some screens and am asking for your help...

your .map file have a space
dont call your map : name of my map.map
BUT name_of_my_map.map
dont use space in yout map name Never the compile process run under Dos and it cant recognize the space
good mapping dingo and good compiling

Since you already know that I don't know a thing about compiling I guess i'll ask why when i saved it like that and tried to compile it, it didn't compile but only closed it out

look if all the paths are ok
q3.exe path , moh path and .map file path very weird ......

Name it nazi_hide_out.map and it will work. You can't have spaces in the name.
It crached because it was looking for "nazi.map" and found it with no .map extension.

I know this is pathetic but what goes into the game directory and the compiler directory... I think I have the Map Source Directory good

When I try to build the map it jusy closes it out in like 5 seconds and says something about pk3 files.... Don't know what to do about it.

well, whe cant help you more than that you got all the answers
no space in mapname Nazi_hide_out.map
look the mbuilder setting if they are on the good paths
mohaa generally in c:/program files/eagames/mohaa
q3.exe and mohlight.exe are on your mohaatools folder
and your maps files
if compil stop and close itself its coze of a bad cfg
check all

Make sure you remove all custom pk3's. Too many and you'll get a MAX_SURFACE_INFO error.

btw when you said something about pk3's in the compile, that lead me to believe that you had too many pk3's
