Pontius Pilate was his name. He washed his hands of the things the people wanted him to do: KILL JESUS.

He basically whimped out and let them kill him. But, it was all in the plan from the beginning. So, how would I word it? If you believe in God, the correct way to really say it is: We all killed Jesus. He died for everyone's sins so yeah, if you believe in God, we killed him. Now that's even harder to swallow.

kinda a gentle guilt trip huh?

i used to be Christian but never really got, no, i don't need to go into that, in any rate, i was Christian as a kid, Sunday School, Bible every day, that sorta stuff but at about, oh i dunno, 10-11 i stopped because, well, i found too many 'fishy' things with it and things that doubled-back on themselves. um, let's see..... one of my best is....

1. did anyone but me know that the original bible is now lost? the Church of England was the second power behind the throne and kept the people in check for the king, oringinally there was no hell in the bible, when the pope's got their hands on it, they onvented it and began threatening the populace that unless they followed the church's readings to the letter they'd be sent to hell.

2. every alternate king about the religion of a certain country (can't remember whether it was France or England) would change, and the bibles burned in the process, only a few survived all this and had to be remade, more lost in translation stuff. it isn't guaranteed to be exactly the same as the church's version that was modified from the original that wasn't even translated right. (it's hard to translate something you read backwards)

can't remember any more right offhand. but those were some of my better examples of why i personally quit. not saying people as a whole sshould quit, maybe there are good explanations for this, but i haven;t found them.

2. every alternate king about the religion of a certain country
It was england in the tutor period, when the monarchs couldnt decide between being protestant or catholic.

But in either case there were many scripts that survived, helped mainly by zealous people in hiding (i think)...

EDIT: It was originally about Nicholas berg (see page 1...)

it's the computers mjmate, we sit at them for hours with no social interaction and then BOOM! we end up here.....

btw that may be true that we don't listen, i've heard people tell me i'm more stubborn than a cold donkey in three feet of snow.

well my opinion in the middle east is i think pretty reasonable, get the heck outa there after we're done and stop cratering countries. if i'm correct that's what Arab nations and most of the populace there think too....

mj, i just noticed your post....

And THEN go and babysit other countries.
no mj, maybe that's all you've heard about this country, the crime, the guns being transferred, the people getting raped, shot, stabbed, electrocuted, (not spelled right) and meeting other gruesome deaths.

well remember, the media feeds what the public wants to hear. come on! no one would watch their tv's if nothing interesting would be on, the media is the same as show biz. all the other countries that we ticked off in so many wars want to be told that America is this filthy, gunsmoke-clouded place where punks run free and shoot people all day with automatics. no, this country is actually very nice, i've never been to any other to compare, but i think this place is suitable. my guess is that yours isn't that much different from mine. true, we have a more volume country so we have more types of weather in different places (Ney York is muggy, Arizona is hot and dry) but still.

also, has anyone seen Gangs of Ney York and thought that all of America was like that? anyone? okay. i rest my case.

Lol, it's not like i watch too much TV or anything, in fact, i never watch TV, its just in every place there are two worlds, the overground, (us all i hope) and the underground. Americas underground is notoriously large, still not comparable to somewhere like brazil though, because in some places the underground merges with the overground. Have you ever read Micheal Moore's book(s)? They are both very good and enlightening :) Try reading them, or watching the documentary "bowling for columbine", not trying to slag off america here, just doing the same as map reviewing, pointing out flaws
