I'm hoping to get some input here on what makes a good Obj map. I know people either love or hate Omaha, and it seems that there are really only a couple maps in constant rotation - The Bridge, V2, and The Hunt. Would you like to see a map that has alot (3-4) little objectives to win, or just one? My reasoning for 3-4 little ones is that it would force people to move around, and not just camp one spot. I also know people don't like to move around! (On average that is, your milage may vary.)
So, would you find an objective map that has a couple (3-4) small objectives fun interesting that just "blow up the 88"? Thanks for the input!
Some thoughts on OBJ maps

Personally I think cool OBJ maps would have three, four or five objectives. Most or all would randomly spawn at one of two or three locations so that game play varies every round. Then maybe make the victory conditions that 2 of 3, 3 of 4 or 3 of 5 objectives will win the game for the attackers. Don't force every objective to be completed IF there are many. Kind of a TOW map without the ability to re-win an objective. Something like that... I'm personally hoping for moving tanks or halftracks that could be objectives, but that will down the road, but hopefully not too long.

Well, this is what I am leaning towards. 3-4 Objectives for each side. One or two would be the same (One side blows up a tank (example), the other would have to defend it), with the other one or two that are unique for that side. Here's an example:
Allies:
1. Cut lines for radio
2. Plant demolition charges on bunker
3. Defend ammunition supply
4. Defend your artillery support
Axis:
1. Destroy Allie ammo dump
2. Take out the Artillery
3. Sabotage Sherman Tank
4. Blow up Transport Trucks (2)
Something along those lines. You can either try to defend everything, and not attack, or a combination of Attack/Defend. Now it will be scripted that if time runs out the side with the most objectives completed wins. (And obviously killing the other team works too). I think this would give a map alot more playability, as you have more things to do on a map. And add in random placement, you've got to move around. If just two objectives are random (say there is 4 different places each for the objectives to be in) you've now just made the map that much more dynamic. Sure, you know where the town is, and where beach/woods/hill/etc are, but you've got to find the targets. Of course you can always remember the four or five places where the objectives spawn, but you've got to go look for them. I think something like this would be a huge boon for the modding community, as even a map that is played to death, would be different each time. My line of thinking anyway.
So, does the above sound interesting to you?
You may consider making a TOW map with the above objectives. There is a great tut on making a TOW map for Spearhead here.
Live to map, not map to live.

I was thinking about TOW, as that seems to be gaining popularity. By biggest complaint (Don't get me wrong, I love the idea!) is from a game perspective, the repsective TOW spots get camped to death. When I play SPHD, aside from the spawnkill frenzy on everymap(it seems) there is a ton of camping the objectives. What I am trying to do with this objective platform, is to limit that to as little as possible. While it is still possible to camp and objective, by having three or four, Im hoping that this cuts it down. One guy sitting in an area isn't bad, four or five guys is. My thoughts anyway!
