Trouble with Ladders

Post by AOC »

:( HI
I just started mapping 2 days ago. I am having trouble with ladders
I have read the tutorial at least 20 times, I have done everything it says but the thing that doesn't work is that when I select the common "ladder" texture and I right click on it to bring up the pop up menu, the "func" doesn't show up. It is supposed to be between "Equipment" and "fx". But there isn't anything between them.

The same thing is happening when I want to create an entity(player start). There is no "info" for me to select.

Any help would be appreciated, I can't do much until then.

I am using MOHRadiant

There is a file in MOHTools you should read again. It is named "INSTALL.TXT". Read step three again, if you missed it the first time.

Thank you for responding so quickly
I looked in tools, and INSTALL.TXT wasn't in it, should I install the MOHRadiant again?

Is step three long?

To answer your question directly you need to put a file 'entdefs.pk3' in your /mohaa/main/ folder. Then you'll have everything.

EDIT: This should be found in the install directory of the mohaatools or the SH SDK.

INSTALL.TXT

1. Unzip to the location of your choice.

2. Ensure that your paths (basepath, mapspath, autosave) in the project properly point to your MOHAA installation. This information is stored in the qe4 file. You can set these from File->Project Settings.

3. Copy entdefs.pk3 to your MOHAA/main directory.

=========================================
I don't know if it is in the Spearhead SDK, but the above text file comes with the Mohaa editor. The Spearhead editor does not come with a entdefs.pk3 because the "code" folder it contains is already in Spearhead's "mainta" folder, I think. But, the paths in Project settings still have to be correct, regaurdless of which editor you use.

Hi
I know what I need to do now, The only thing I need is the "MOHtools" the one containing entdefs.pk3

If anyone has this and is willing to send it, or knows the best website to download it. I would really appreciate it.

Thanks for all the help

It should be in MOHAATools/docs. Where did you get the editor? Try this one, if you didn't get it from EA Games.

ftp://largedownloads.ea.com/pub/misc/MOHAATools.zip

Thanks for the help guys
My ladders are working, and I am especially excited that I finally have the 'func' option. I would have much of a map if I didn't have functions in there.
woohoo
Thanks again
I'll see ya'll soon
