I'm done w/ my map...Now What

Post by Guest »

I've completed the Beta Version of my map but i'm not sure what do do with it. How do i package up so that other people can test it out and give me feed back on it? I've read the tutorial on this site for pk3 creation but i didn't really understand it. Thanks.

Did you compile your map? Read the tut on compiling and remember to make a .scr file for your map with the same name. Just read everything and feel free to sign up so we can help you.

Yes, i've compiled and everything. Its a multiplayer DM map, and i made a .scr for it. My question is how to post it up here so that other people can tell me if they like it. What format does it need to be in? PK3? I'm not exactly sure.

Well, lt barnes, your post did not really help at all. What i'm trying to find out is how i give other people my map. What format do i need as a final product. I have packscape, put don't know what to do with it. Also, what's a .bsp file? Thanks.

Create a '.zip' file that contains your '.pk3' file. Add a ?read.me? file describing your map, how to install it, and how to remove it. Post it somewhere, there have been links shown before in this post. If this does not make any sense, look at the tutorial Work Environmentabout distribution. If it still does not make sense, sorry, post a message and I will try to explain.
