bots don't move????

bots don't move????

well i've checked all my nodes, the only ones that don't work are those high in the air, almost all the nodes on the ground are working, others that don't work (probably too low) are all bypassable by other paths. i've mixed up my spawn points so axis and allies spawn together, but for soem reason the bots don't do anything. they jsut sit there...

it's a TDM/RB (RB = round based) map.

Do you have camper/sniper nodes somewhere? And try type showroutes 1 in the console to make sure there's a green line to these nodes.

Other than that, try debugpath 1 to see if they're attempting to go somewhere.

And I assume the script is correct.

yes the script is okay, i've checked that...

no, i just used thequick botification method, i assume they simply produce normal nodes.

i used togglmenu leveldesign to check the routes, they work fine as well, i'll try debugpath.

one thing that occured to me, do bots do TDM?

Bots1 do TDM. Put some pathnodes targetname "camper" and/or "sniper" and they'll run to these nodes and...camp!

welli was aiming for more of a run around screaming version, maybe i need to reingineer it so that there's a singular path around the map's center????

maybe this won't work...

You want bots to hunt something? Ok, but what? Players?

Maybe bots2...You can try be more specific, maybe some1 come in your help.

ok what i want is bots to do TDM, liek run around adn fight each other, not sit around all day staring at the ceiling....

Hi,
if you want to TDM with bots, you must create many camper nodes and some sniper nodes on higher places (or if you can`t a sniper bots, who stand at one place and don`t move, you can not create a sniper nodes, but camper nodes you must create - if you don`t create camper nodes, bots don`t move).
Simply give to some pink path nodes targetname/camper.
Then create script origin to some quarter from camper node,
and terget camper node with script origin (sign both - first camper node, then script origin - and press ctrl+k).
You must plaece camper nodes at locations, where you want the battle.
To better game you can create some routes.
Have a god time.

Say, is there a way to boot the bots from camper nodes after a certain amount of time? That way they don't sit there for the rest of the round and maybe trek onto the next camper node. Or maybe someway to make the player the target...

yes
when bots see enemy bots, they target them and move along path nodes without camper nodes, but on small place.
If there is a biger map (and bots see not their targets after spawning) or if enemy bots stand near but round the corner, without camper or sniper nodes they dont move.
If you place a bomb (OBJ map), you must not make a camper nodes, bots move shortest way to bomb, to plant it.

Hey,

i have this ssame problem only a little different. when i run the map on my own computer everything is fine. the bots run around and shoot and all that.

when i put it on my dedicated server they just stand there... i dont have any camp spots but they do work on my own server. I will stick some in and see what i get, just seems strange that they work on my server on my comp., just not the dedicated one...
