Help win xp scr file

textpad is an excellent tool, though notepad or wordpad will work just as well,

if you choose to view the whole file extension in the folder options and then rename it to a .txt file you will have notepad, renaming it will then convert it back to a screen saver but we will all know and more importantly MOH, that this is what you want,

changing .scr files to be opened with notepad is a great thing to do as why would you want to open any screen saver outside of the windows screen saver application, which can still be done

Everyone is talking about Textpad, but don't you have to pay to use that--after the free trial?

I don't think so. It's an evaluation license, and you do get a reminder when you start it up, but I don't see anything about time remaining on the trial...


Also you wouldn't happen to know a list of all commands in the script. I'm expanding on Bjarne's syntax file. Here's what I have so far.

The easiest way to open up and edit a .scr file is to place it on your desktop and open up notepad...Then simiply drag and drop your script onto notepad and voila...just save and place back in your pk3.
