yeah ,i liked the old one too .but seeing that a few changes have happened here (new moderator,new logo,competitions) maybe we are looking at a slow motion look change

edit:then how did it get there?only u and bjarne could do that ,right?
or is it the mysterious surgeon !!

actually it's just a banner not a logo. bjarne asked me to make a new one that matched the design of the main page better and the width of the forum, you know just to get it in unison.

Well I like it, except I'm not too enthousiastic about the font... not that it is ugly but hmmm not sure

maybe it shouldn't be in italics...

it's always save to go with Arial, Impact, Times and Verdana but you know choosing Font is one of the hardest parts of designing as it's subjective and can make a lot of difference. There's many that look alike and many that are plain boring, so I went with Palatino to give it an 'obsolete' look. Of course I played around with all known fonts and tried about everything; regular, bold, italic, combinations, outlines, effects and colours. But after staring at it for hours it was hard to tell what looked right and what didn't.

I don't mind making some changes but then I need clear suggestions, not just a "i like the old one better". Whether or not to use italics is literally a matter of taste. Here's what I suggest:
If Bjarne agrees I will make some Font-changes and preview shots of the different styles (and/or text colours). That way people can tell what they like best. Fair enough?

ok, 'banner' then

the new one has kinda grown on me... i cant remember the old one now lol... i like the font, especially the way itsort-of 'fades' into yellow on the word mapping, and the figures in the background.. nice work!!!

Glad you're starting to like it.
I do appreciate any comments, positive or negative because without them it would just be my vision. I still intend to show you guys some different fontstyles and I will post a picture as soon as possible, perhaps you'll see something you like even better.

I like this one, but if you have the time and energy to make some different versions Pantera: sure! Post them here and our beloved members kan take a vote on their favourite. Why not take in suggestions from anyone while were at it?

Anyone that think they can create a great banner: post it here.

Rules: It should fit the rest of the forum. The rest is up to you guys.
