in game where you shoot barrel and it explodes... how would i get that? i have tried func->barrel almost certain it woudn't work without FX or scripting (and i was right), so i have two questions, kinda linked sort-of:
can someone explain to me how the right-click 'fx' works. if i put this in radiant, it wont do anyhting i presume. i need to script right? this goes for water dripping, explosions etc.
also, sorta the same as above, but percifically about the barrel. how would i script / FX a barrel?

The explosion/smoke entities are all different. Some can be set off by putting this line in your script.
$myexplosion anim start
But for some you have to first stop the animation in prespawn.
$myexplosion anim stop // or idle
The animation names can be seen, for an entity, by hitting key N and clicking on the Anim: +- buttons. But, you should also study the tik file of what you want to use--some will say "start on".
By the way, you can download prefab func_barrels from Nemisis' site.
