i doubt its this simple, but ill give it a shot.
when running a server, i type
1 would be the client number
whats wrong with this? im betting thers a lot.

I think you type in rcon address press enter then rconpassword serverpassword then press enter then type in rcon ???? but if you are the server then just type in your command if it is not a dedicated server

rconpassword <serverpassword>
rcon status
will show you the client numbers

i know how to do all of that stuff, but im wondering if my stufftext command is in the right syntax, or if there is something different i shud type, OR some file that i need.

how would i obtain the player number, or do u mean client number? (i know they arent the same)

use rcon status to see the player/clientnumber.
that should do it.
