Mac users are more fat...

Post by Krane »

I feel I have to share this w/ you guys...

I have a manhole in the map, w/ a ladder. At the first try, I was not being able to climb, so I centered the stairs and finally I was climbing

No news. I sent the map to Wacko (we're making it together) and he was climbing perfectly. Problem solved!

Well, I sent the map to 2 of my friends, both Mac users, for beta-testing. And both returned me saying they couldn't climb the ladder! I was very surprised, so I putted the pk3 in my Mac and, indeed, Mac users were not able to climb the ladder, they stop when they reach the pathmesh (similar to one in Algiers). I went back to the PC and everything was fine...

Now the funniest part: So I decided to make a LAN using the Mac and the PC. 1st, w/ the PC as the server. Guess what? I was able to climb on the Mac :o ! Then, w/ the Mac as the server, I couldn't climb the ladder in the PC anymore :o ! What a trip...

Well, I centered the ladder even more (the player bounding box is exactly in the middle) and now it's working fine in both plataforms.

I presume Mac players are more...fat?

btw: the pk3 version was updated for both plataforms!
