im implementing a 'player canonball' from tltrude's explodingdoor map. very nice, Tom. all off it!
making a canon now.
but i have some trouble here. imagin 2 Curved Cilinder Primitives... how can they get 'connected'
with a Simple Patch Mesh... how to shape it? Bend it??
one more
i bended a cilinder a quarter (1/4th torus) how can i delete half of the cilinder (~ in other words. simplifide. like half of a bended rainpipe) ?
as you see i tried dragging 4 these vertices to the center to make a circle patch of the patch create by a small seam value.
this doesn't look so good and supposable isn't right ?
i wan a circle shaped patch mesh, i can still reshape, thinging off half a sphere, but that leads me to the first question 'how to cut sphere or bended cylinder'
You can't cut a mesh. If you are trying to put an end on it, try capping it. I would reduce the complexity of the mesh, too. You don't need that many faces.
When you hit key P, there is a button named "natural". It can make the texture look better if you have streched the patch. You can also strech the texture with that same patch inspector, although the values don't show in the little windows.
thx
thx to both the Curve > Cap > Cylinder/Dialog... option & the patch instector my 'Human Canonball Canon' is coming around fine now
You will all gonna love it no screeny yet, if im permitted, hehe
