Well sorry for the delay but finally .map is back online after all those silly php errors. I hope it stays this way though I cannot guarantee...

I'M GETTING REALLY ANNOYED BY THIS!
As all my mails to any form of GameSpy bounces...
And as it seems that more people than us are affected ( I guess the CoD .MAP site uses the smae database server ( when we are down, they are dwn as well ).
From the limited knowledge on datases I have, I think maby someone in the GameSpy network is opening a connection to the database server on every access... but then again, Its very hard to know anything when my mails bounce.....

and was it an SQL error or PHP?
also, just as a matter of interest to a PHP+MySQL guy, how did u get it sorted?

I suspect they just rebooted the database server to 'clean' it and didn't really fix anything... sadly that would mean it's just a matter of time before it goes down again
