there is 2 way to add fog in a map , via moh radiant and via scripting

1) via moh radiant: Type n to bring up the entity window

and add those key/value farplane/3000 (or whatever you want , maximum is 10 000==>and more you number is big and less foggy will be your map .exemple: farplane: 8000 almost no fog and farplane: 1000 foggy as hell hehe )

and you can adjust the fog color( by default the fog will be grey/white as usual ) ==> key/value farplane_color/ .5 .2 .4 (you can change this number )

2)via script
add those line directly in your .scr before level waittill prespawn

$world farplane_color ".60 .60 .70"//// for the color
level.fogplane = 2100////// fog intensity
$world farplane level.fogplane /// this is the line script to tell the game to create fog

Fog raise up fps as far as i heard ,coze the Player visibily is reduced

Then Dont use Sunflare with fog ;-)

i would do it through radiant, simply because it is easier than scripting ;)

Do you think that add 3 lines in script is a hard work ? generally a map come with a script file.......

More over i forget to point out that adding fog with script , prevent you from compiling several time just to adjust fog values !

In game , bring up console and type editscript , then edit your fog values; sure to enable this modifications your map script dont have to be in a pk3, or you wont be able to rewrite.
Your script , have to be in a maps or maps/dm obj lib folder (depend the type of game) , type editscript in game , change it and restart map.
