I had a look at MP_Brest_DM using BSPtoMAPconvertor and saw NO brush closing up together with the skybox (under the map) ?
wich means there is a BIG hole in the bottom of the map wich doesn't block VIS, I presume ... IS this best for DM maps? or is it just because there are no lights in Brest, ... or other reasons? maybe BSPtoMAPconverter left out the bottom brush? because I think this highers fps
I really like to know what's up here so
does somebody know bout this aspect ?

I see only 1 brush not converted/not there
and, yes, i could be bottom brush it's left out, but even if you'dd picture the BRUSH to be there, there would still be holes in the sky...
but IMO, I doubt MP_Brest_DM was compiled with VIS
Just a guess here: caulk is not converted to a regular brush in the compile process, and so the de-compiler will not find it. I think the bottom part of the skybox is never seen by the palyer, so they used caulk.
That's what I meant. If you cannot see a brush in a decompiled map, doesn't mean the brush was not there b4...Indeed, caulk brushes are ignored by the decompiler. And my guess is that the sky, for ex, have caulk on the outside, but the decompiler putted the same texture it found on the inside.
