K, this one feels like a dumb question. I have been searching on multiple forums and still can not figure it out.

I have been out of the loop for a while, and am trying to set my map building stuff back up. When i make a basic room to test everything out, I try to compile and all I am getting is the dos prompt with stuff like this:

-expand
-detailterrainborders
-tmpout
-fakemap
-all
-fast
etc,etc

Seems to me to be a list but nothing is compiling.

Sorry about this one

Are all your paths set up correctly - seems silly but just double check

Ok, this is MY tutorial from MY webpage, not OTHERS webpage.

Mostly for the N00bies like me, I found that it is important not to have any spaces in the name of your map or else it won't compile properly. I started a map, called it "Outdoor Obj". It wouldn't compile. I renamed it to "OutdoorObj" and it worked fine. Sounds silly to advanced mappers, but for those of us starting, or aren't so good at it, this may be a valid point. If I am incorrect, pls let me know.

It is a valid point and it is something more experienced mappers wouldn't really think about, it would just come automatically.....

Maybe think about the new naming convention.

deathmatch: mp_yourmapname_dm
object: obj_yourmapname
tug of war: mp_yourmapname_tow

This is the only way object maps will show up in Spearhead.
