Recording Demos

Post by Krane »

I guy sent to me a file he claims is a demo of my map containerz. I was curious about the format (it's a .dm3 file). So I did a search on the net and found this:

Did you guys knew that?

Not sure but I think you need to create a new folder:
main/demos

Then put the *.dm3 in that folder

I figured out :D !

1st you need to d/l a patched version of MOHAA.exe (copy the original one to a safe place). You can get it here:

http://www.fifa-mania.com/demos/MOHAA.zip

Then create a folder called "demos" inside the main.

There's instructions on a read_me file inside the zip.

Very interesting, the fps remains normal  ...

I don't like patched versions but this one worth a try...

Hey that works great! Check out my demo!

You need to have that modified Mohaa.exe, then unzip the above file to main. Start the game and type "playdemo mines" in the console.

Cheers to Krane 8-) !

PS: I'm 99% sure that the viewer have to have the map inside his main folder in order to watch the demo!

My version of Fraps works fine, never asked for registration or so...

It's cool to 1st record your demo and then play the demo and record on Fraps. Much better than play having Fraps on the background hurting your fps  !
