leak, & pointfile doesnt work
I have spent the last 3 days trying to make a large outdoor map 5040 x 5040
On compile it detects a leak. It drops .bsp .vis .map .bak file into \maps. When Pointfile is loaded there is no change in the display. I have tried using a box then the hollow tool, and I get the same error. I am also using the latest OpenGL llibs. I have also tried creating a simple room, 6 brushes lights and a spawn point, I get the same error.

In order for the point file option to work, the *.prt and *.vis files must be in the same folder or directory as the offending *.map file. Then next time you load MOHradiant a red line will be drawn on the map 'pointing' to the source of the leak. It sounds to me like your prt file is being written elsewhere. Just find it and copy to same location as your .map file and then load up radiant. Should work.

Solved, but more issues
The pointfile issue has been solved. I was able to use the command line to manually compile and was able to get Pointfile to work. Turns out that during compile time no .lin file was bieng created.
Another issue, the map still doesnt fully compile. There are two errors I get now on two different maps. I created a smaller map to ensure that my skybox wasn't the issue. I made a cube and used the Hollow Tool. At comiple I get a Tree Shade or Shadow Tree error. Browsing through some other mapping forums I saw the error previously posted, yet none of the fixes solved this error.
The error on the other map. Well it is a large map. I get a leak in this one. The error is something like
********************
LEAKED
********************
Filling
Map reached from outside
2 points
I have seen this one posted also. The Pointfile shows this under my entities, They are more that 64 units from any wall, the only thing they touch is the floor. If I select the offending entity and delete it, it just moves to the next and leaks there. I have tried rebuilding my skybox. I have made the whole skybox Structure as someone had suggested, though I dont think its a good idea. All the outside (parts player never sees) textures are caulk also.

Cheers for any and all help.

When I get a Leak error the compiler stops. It never completes the compile. When I try and load the map it is never listed under my other maps. Also it isn't my skybox, of this I am sure. If I delete all the entities in teh map including spawn points the map compiles without err.
As for entities in teh void, there are only 2 entities one spawnpoint one light, and niether are outside in teh void.

There must be another error, try running the bsp stage with -v and see if you get another error. Leave the spawn points be, otherwise you won't start the map at all, try adding them one at a time back in until you get the problematic one. It may also be a bad door or something. Check for any refrence to an entity number and then go to Edit>Find Entity/Brush , put that number in. It may be bad door that needs rebuilding from scratch.
Solved
Well I solved the problem last night with some help from tltrude.
As it turns out I had 5 structural brushes and one that was det/structural that one was the ground. Also my cualk textures were lighting caulk not caulk. That is what the problem was. My map no compilers without any errors.
