My village in WW2

Post by At0miC »

I found a website about WW2 in my area, especialy about operation "Blackcock".

This is my village: http://www.cobweb.nl/hgootzen/St%20Odilienberg/berg.htm

This is the website about the WW2 in my area:
http://www.cobweb.nl/hgootzen/

My new map (almost done) is about a farm under Roermond (see at the navigation map).

Just wanted to say :P, maybe interested or not

I hope your village didn't change too much since WW2, it's pretty nice.

Unfortunately, war is not so forgiving all the times....My grand-uncle came from a city called Saarbruecken (south germany), that was completly destroyed during the war. He showed me some pictures of a very nice european village, now it's a completly different city, all grey and industrial...

It's still a nice village :D but little bit bigger and there is beautifull nature around it, forests, a nice river, beatifull fields of grass with cows, sheeps, etc. Everything is green in the summer :D, happy I'm living here . And the weather in my area is also excelent.

Here are some pictures about my area in this time:

There is also a golf area in a Nature park 4km from my village:
