I just put my map script file in .pk3 format and it worked!

ok the only thing is this part of your script
level waittill spawn
thread spawncrate // no end after this so the main thread just runs into the spawncrate thread if you want you can remove this and the spawncrate:
spawncrate:
local.static = spawn script_model
local.static model "static/indycrate.tik"
local.static.origin = ( -591.85 -647.96 668.13 )
local.static.angles = ( 0 0 0 )
local.static solid
end
// no thread name here and this part of the script not used because of the end above , this should go at the top in the main thread if you need it .
