Problem

Can anyone tell me why i'm getting the error "FS read file has no name" after I have compiled the map and went to run it..

well,i dont recall seeing this anywhere b4 .but perhaps a little info about ur game and ur pc would help me or any1 else determine the problem and its solution .

Try moving the compiled ".bsp" file to your main/map/dm folder (create the dm folder if there isn't one). You should then be able to start a multiplayer Team Match game to test it.

It whould help if you add at least one each axis and allied (info) spawn point to the map. You must also have one info_player_start, and at least one light, in the map.

it may be a different solution (i got a new PC so i cant browse into my old files), but i think it may appear if you have certain items from the right-click menu in. the one i know of is:

ammo -> box -> mg

to add a safe MG box, go to:

item -> ammobox -> mg

Thanks m4rine I took the mg ammo box out and it worked.
seems that was the problem. :roll:
