ungroup brush by script?

is it possible to erase the func_rotatingdoor properties of a pair of shutters and make them destroyable with func_crate? what i want is for a pair of shutters openable and destroyable. best way i figure that gets debris as well is func_crate. so can i use ungroup brush by script?
