when compiling, it says: cant read mymap.prt
why? what is wrong?

You've probably got a leak into the void, however this won't stop the map from compiling, just the vis won't compile.

I had the same thing happen to me, i dont really know what the problem is, it might be when you make a box over your map for your sky it has a crack in the box, and may not work. Check for cracks in the box.

hi, already it is good,
i have had not a "down floor" of sky box, because of LOD terrain,
i create it and close a cubic sky box with caulk brush and .prt were created.

Yes, LOD terrain, detailed brushes, anything masked (transparent), entities, etc can't be used to seal a world.
