Making a ladder.

Hey guys i know i ask alot of questions, if thats bad i'm sorry but i'm making a ladder and was wondering if you make a thin sqare and bring it to the position you want and it func make it ladder then find the texture.
If thats all i have to do then thats easy but i cant seem to find the texture for the ladder. Any places i should look?

Please tell me the texture name. I looked in every texture thing, i looked at the radeiant notbook of texture key words.

No. You are not making the ladder correctly. First you build a ladder out of brushes. 2 long rails on the side and the step rails going up. Once you have built the ladder, piece by piece, and have it in the position you want, then you add the ladder texture brush. It sounds confusing...what you need to do is go to a tutorial and see how it is done.
Please go to this link and do the tutorial.. Im sure it will answer your questions about making ladders....

Hmm, ok. Is it the same with making a gate? Like you have to make the bars and such? :D

gates have predefines textures too. use the texture packs instead of wasting valuble space stitching out brushes. try misc_outdoors and find the kind of gate you want.

AND PLEASE! use the tutorials! the ladder has a tutorial too!
