Brush Size?

How tall should a room be??
How tall should a stair step be??
How tall is a player??
How tall is a player crouched??
How much should a window be if you want a player to have a nice out of the window??

1. See number 3. Really I'd say 144 for a low one. You need to exeriment. There's no set height for room.

2. 16 at a max. Any higer and you'd have to jump. Also the run should be at least 8, or you'll slip and glide down.

3. 92 or 96, don't remember which.

4. 64

5. Again experiment.

Sometimes I also put a temporary AI player in the map to see if something is big enough or if it is too small etc. :wink:.

Everyone's first room is too big, ha ha.

1. Try to keep your ceiling heights in incements of 32, so that steps of 16 will come out even. Walls should be at least 16 units thick, if players will be fighting there.

2. Stairway runs should never be less than 12 deep, or the players will fall and loose health point while running down the steps.

5. If the bottom of the window is 64 uints above the ground, players can duck behind the wall, and not be hit by players on the otherside of the window. But, a nice view would be 48 units.

Thanks At0mic, I never thought of putting an AI in the game to test the room height and width.
