Can't draw brushes or anything?!?!?!?!?

Recently decided to try mapping for fun again, and ran into problems already. I don't know what I did, but I can't draw any brushes or change view (ctrl-tab?). This is the screen loading up:

Hehe... I think you have got the height bar all the way over to the right ,drag it back over to the left then you will see your grid.
