I have remade "The Hunt"..Why I hear you scream!
Well I've remade it for a couple of reasons..
Hopefuly i've ironed out a few of the glitches and advanced the Allies spawn a little to hopefuly balance the gameplay.
There are a few slight changes with a couple of new places to access and also the addition of some new textures.
It will feel and play hopefuly very similar to the origional.
Was a hard map to remake because of the terrain and also the wide openess of the map.
Fps I would have liked a bit higher but any1 with a 1/2 decent vid card will have no problems whatsoever.
I did mucho caulking but with no real natural vis structures it was tough.
Please bear in mind this is beta version and please let me know any glitches and faults and also ideas on improving it.

Looks nice, but seems like a lot of work for just a few changes. You should make a second way to get to the church--to eliminate the choke point at the corner.

and eliminate that way to get on top of the church, i think glitches are cool, unless they are overused. that one is.

Axis have major enviromental advantages in Hunt, making it pretty fun for Allies. maybe you could make a tunnel under?

Thx Tom and yes is a fair bit of work for a few changes (only took me 4 weeks but many hours)
Dont know if you play in a clan yourself Tom but as I do the 1 thing I noticed is that as allies you dont realy stand a chance.
With the allies spawning slightly more advanced at least (as a clan) the allies have a greater opportunity to get near and achieve the objective set.
Also it was another step on the learning curve for me after Renverse to see if I could reproduce a map with an authentic feel.
I now feel confident about approaching something with a little more origionality.

I removed that choke point by moving the spawn locations by server side scripting. Check the download section at The Rjukan project if you'r interested. 8-)

I like the effort u made into trying and ok...
i don't know a whole lot about mapping but u seriously fucked up the hunt. Why redo it, most of us enjoy your so called bugs. getting on top of the church is part of what makes mohaa fun. The monkey like things u can do on the hunt. Try V2 for a remake, not Hunt
that DMW is going to use this map for battle arena's is one big laugh.

yeah, i agre...
one of the few things i like there is that u can go to 3rd floors window by plank.

lol no need to be mean...

there are plenty of folks who like v2 way more then the hunt, and no one said you have to play his remake =)

differnt strokes for different folks... no one is really qualified to say what 'most' of us enjoy =p

Ha ha ..some people realy have serious issues..
I remade the hunt firstly to see if I could using no more than screenshots.
I have not got a multi million pound company behind me and mess about with it in me spare time.
This was a project I wished to persue its entirley upto the individual if anyone wished to d/l it.
A total remake of the hunt minus the glitches but exact layout is virtualy completed by insomnia snake and hes done a great job and were just ironing out a few small problems.
He has taken a great deal of time (months and months) correcting bad brushes...I took 4 weeks and built it from screenies.
Have a go yourself my friend and see how easy it is.
Thx for your input i'll make sure I ask you 1st next time before I do anything...lmfao.

Hi there!
Is only to say that i really enjoy the map.... i still like more the other version... but this one is really nice....
We put the map on rotation in our server and we had positives replys from the players that go to our server!
Once again... good job! :wink:
