MOHPA demo ---- postponed

Post by tltrude »

Just got word from EA GAMES that the Mohpa singleplayer demo will be out on Friday, this week! It will be the Henderson Field level and they said it will be a H-U-G-E download. This is the same level that was shown at the E3 convention.

in hogleg's post ,he has the solution to the fps
Details are still coming in, but here's what I know so far.

1) This is a single player demo
2) This will be the Henderson Field level. (Think E3)
3) System specs are below:
RECOMMENDED CONFIGURATION
Windows XP
2.0+ GHz Intel Pentium IV or AMD Athlon processor
512 MB RAM
ATI or Nvidia card with 128+ MB video memory

Here's a great excuse for anyone looking to upgrade! That's all for now. I'll send out more as I get it.

so i guess u know now

I heard they used very few brushes, mostly models.

Which inspires me to start learning how to model!

No, LOD terrain is no more in PA.

lol! the reccommended processer is 2 gigs, you think they give a damn anymore about dial-up? =p

anyway, I just hope I can install it, even if its unplayable(not the demo the real thing) I have the ram but not the processor speed. (1.3) But if those are 'reccomended' I think i could manage on low settings?

requirements

Post by tltrude »

Those are the recommended requirements. The minimum requirements are lower, but I can't seem to find them at the moment--the min requirements are still more than my current computer has.

Rats!!!

Post by tltrude »

EA is making me out to be a liar, because they are delaying the release of the demo another two weeks!!! Their reason for needing this extra time is to add, and I quote, "a new game feature" to the demo!

Sorry about that, but at least it gives me more time to upgrade to a better computer. Now, I just need to dig up the money!!!
