on the flip side tho, most areas of the world(specialy america) where peopel can afford the new super pc's they also have multiple broadband providers. Not everywhere of course, but I cant imagine paying someone money for dial up internet access anymore, I dont think i could wrap my mind around it.

You would be shocked. Last survey I read said that broadband in America made up only 1% of America's interent connections.

but its available far wider then that. People who dont need broudband, tend not to have it. People who play any sort of online game, almost always have it, provided they ahve the money, and the access.

I know alot of people with dialup ;) They dont do much of anything online.

true... we used to just find free dial up's and crack the banners, but they hunted down and killed all those. Was hilarious when netzero started charging for internet cause (aol? msn?) bought them.

anyway, aol was running 25$/month and cable has been about 40$/month for a few years, really no comparison at all... now aol tries to stil lsell thier product, when really all they do is annoy people!
