What about Light Leakings?

Post by kainfury »

Dows it matter alot when the light leaks?

Or is there a way to prevent the light from going out of the Level?

Thank you.

I don't think it really is a problem.

It happens when you clone light entities. So if you don't use the clone function anymore, it won't bother you.

Not even near as bad as a brush leak.

When you compile your map you will get a brush/entity number, you can find the door in mohradiant using the brush/entity search. A leaking door isn't really a problem unless the door doesn't work in the way you want it.

You could check that you "origin" brush for the door only overlap the actual door, it should not be extended so it goes inside the wall, roof or floor. (an orgin that are inside a structural brush can cause a leak).

Sometimes doors get leaks because they need an angle. Mainly doors that have their flat side facing 90/270, for those doors set angle 90.
