Bush or Kerry

All this stupid fighting between political parties is detremental in my opinion. There isn't a candidate that will just push there best attributes

I once was lost, but now........... I'm still lost!
detrimental or not the two partty system* is central to our system of government. It goes hand in hand with check and balances. Candidates focus negative energies at each other because its a proven method to convince the population. So its all our fault =)
*(it should actualy be more then two major parties, but deviciveness and strength in numbers have forced the hands of politicians. The system was set up to constnatly provide alternatives in a fee election, unfortunately with two parties as large and powerfull as they are, it excludes all smaller parties by default. However, this again, is all in the hands of the constituency; if another party gains clout enough to become a force, there is nothing compelling to ensure the system remains exaclty as it is now. Oh, unless you beleive that america is run by a secret council who slaughter virgins and defile goats or whatever. =))

It is weird how after a long period of democracy it usually boils down to two camps of thought. In the UK we have Labour ( blair ) and the Conservatives. There are some other minor parties and one slightly bigger than minor called the Liberals. I sometimes like to watch the house of commons live on tv, when the liberal leader Kennedy ( no relation to the US Kennedy's ) says anything almost the whole house laugh at him, which is amusing to watch but really isnt moving the debate forward.
I only ever voted once when I was 18 ( the legal age for voting here ) I voted for the green party, which looking back seems a stupid thing to do, at the time I was smoking a lot of weed and they wanted to legalise it so they got my vote.
I really should make more effort, the longer Blair is in power the more I feel like voting conservative even though their policies dont work for me either but I find them less offensive than labours, I wish there was a realistic alternative to both of them
Theres one MAJOR thing that bugs me with Labour is that they put a blind guy into the position of home secretary named Blunkett. Now obviously I have nothing against blind people, its just that this guy makes huge decisions that do actually effect me personally. The state of our inner cities is disgusting, I recently moved out of the part of town I lived for 30 years as its almost a no go zone, shootings every week at the end of my old street and street robberies many times a day. This guy can have all the advisors in the world but if you cant actually see the state of the place with your own eyes how on earth can you comment or make decisions about it ?

Philip II of Macedon sent a message to Sparta:
"If I win this war, you will be slaves forever."
The Spartan ephors sent back a one word reply: "If".

Well, I dislike all the parties over here in UK, I am 15 but I understand some of the crap they say. If i could vote it would be the conservatives tho, as I really do dislike Labour. And arent labour a party for like the Working/Middle Class? Well, seems to me they are more like Conservatives and they benefit the Upper classes. But, of course what do i know i am only 15 so I cant vote.
I think the BNP is such a stupid party, we have brits in foreign countries so why shouldnt we allow Asians, blacks etc. into ours. Anyone who votes for the BNP is obviously racist and infact I do hav some racial views but I wouldnt go as far as booting them out of the country. Anyone who does vote for BNP, I hope get the lifes ruined by the foreigners in this country but egging their houses, but I wouldnt say anything more than the egging because anything else would increase crime more bt of course I shouldnt say that they should throw eggs because this will lead onto more crime
But anyway this is about the US elections, so I'll shut up. I would say Kerry tho as Bush is War hungry.

yes the BNP are racist barbarians, no doubt about it. i watched that program on BBC and hopefully Nick Griffin, BNP leader, is gonna get arrested.
i think the governent should just stop the BNP. they say they can't under 'human rights' act, but whos going to argue, in fact there will be outright approval.
and Wilson conservatives have been known to be very racist, and also they got us into this mess atm, njot hte war but the crap state schools, healh is in etc. and labour have put a lot of it right. but then labour (well, blair) is so far up Bush's ahem, that I'm sure he'll get lost soon.
like i sed earlier, i think its time for Lib Dems to be given a hance. I mean, they maybe the revolution we are hoping for: a balanced, all round government.

"We must become the change we want to see in the world" (Mahatma Gandhi)
Alot of people in America would be in favor of rounding up and killing/imprisoning the klu klux klan or the black panthers, or any of 1000 other groups that stir strong emotions in different groups of people.
The price of free speech is hearing someone express a view that infuriates you.
Of course, if Bush keeps rolling along, that all might change eh?
~Ammend the CONSTITUTION to make gay marriages un-constitutional. Can you say Homophobic?
~Continue the Patriot Act, a bill with name so laden with hypocrisy it should be spit on. The patriot act makes it easier to ignore the freedoms we wrote so clearly into our bill of rights.
This is the direction of my country since 9/11. Keep the queers in the closet(and on tv cause they're funny!) but if they marry it ruins a sacred insitution! Oh wait, pardon me, I thought church and state were F****** seperated under law. Marriage by state isnt a sacred union, it is a legal one, that entitiles people to economic and legal benefits and rights. Funny in that case, how many churches have less of a problem with marrying homosecuals then our federal government. We are running full speed from 9/11 cause our leadsers are holding thier feet to the floor, pinning the accelerator with fear and scare tactics.
Someone stop the car, I'm going to be sick.

I cant agree with the other guys on wanting to ban the British National Party. Though I dont agree with most of their points I do actually agree with some of them, I dont think I am a racist as I have friends from many different races. I do object to some others beliefs though and this has nothing to do with the colour of their skin.
A law has just been passed that you cannot join the police force if your a member of the BNP, now the BNP is a legitimate political party with elected representatives in the government, I cannot understand how supporting a legitimate party equates to not being able to do your job as a policeman. So the government is now allowed to control your thoughts, if you dont think the way they want then you cant get a job.
This is insane, USA is going the same way, we are being told what to think.
After all its all just peoples points of view, even if you totally disagree does that make you right ? I feel all opinions are valid even if they are not my own thoughts on whatever situation.
