Hi, CD. I'll answer you about the fence.

To make a fence you have to do 2 things:

1.- Include the fence you will see, using an entitie (secondary button in 2d view): static->obstacle-> some1 called "barbwire" will work.

2.- Add an entitie trigger->hurt around your barbwire.

With the hurt selected, press N and type the following:
key: damage
value: a number. Default 10 (it hurts you 10 each touch)

I hope to had helped you. See you :D :D :D

Well I saw you were told how to make barbed wire but I assume you want a fence that you can shoot through.

You need to make a brush, how long and how high is up to you.

Then texture that brush with the NODRAW texture.

Select just one face of the brush, the face you want to look like a fence.

Texture that single face with a fence texture, I think you can find one if you use keyword MASKED.

Now hit S to bring up the surface properties, you need to check these flags on the right of the of the surface inspector:

Detail
playerclip
monsterclip

( since my dual display problems I cant see my surface inspector so dont take this as the total story )

Do a search on this forum for grate or grates.
Philip II of Macedon sent a message to Sparta:
"If I win this war, you will be slaves forever."
The Spartan ephors sent back a one word reply: "If".
