archways

i was wondering, that how do you make these things for archways, like in southern france for bridge and other places.

Takes a little practice but you should look at this tutorial here on .map
/t.php?id=16

For a normal shaped arch you should follow the steps down and ignore it when it says "press V to edit verticies" as you dont want anything elaborate to start with.
