lol, a kamakazii thing would be extremly funny to see... but that would be good for breakthrough so the bot can just cook off a grenade as he runs up to you lol :)

yeah, and maybe bots that clean and do the laundry too :P
a kamakazii thing would be extremly funny to see...

someone (COUGHCOUGHJV_MAPCOUGH)needs to make bots be able to bash with their nades like you can do in CoD, it was funny i boudn all my keys the same as MOHAA and tried to lob a nade at a guy and smashed his face :lol:

Well yes I unleashed them in V2 and they now climb ladders etc but I'm not very happy with them yet regardless because they usually act stupid and kill themselves with the nades :(

Hey jv, are the bots doing any better? The fact that we've stopped spamming you with bot requests doesn't mean we've lost interest. Just thought you should know :D


question: is it possible to modify the sp AI through scripting?

anything that improves your other bots would be cool as there top banana!
how about that they dont just spawn as us and german? they use pistols etc when they RUN out of ammo , use smoke nades etc.

Yes they did but now they can actually find paths across ladders 8-)

what i'm doing in Euro is kinda liek this, tweaking performance to make them unpredictable throguh mostly a trigger system, but not really.
you have to update the programming, and JV said that the anim code and all that is so fu**ed up that even the devs got confused. my bet's on it was Mackey's Fault... :lol:

Hey Jv, do the new bots still fire their weapons while they're throwing a grenade? I'll be finishing exams in two weeks time so a new beta around that time would be nice :wink:

No, definately not :) they now use a 'bot state machine' script which is basically a compiled version of mike_legs.st and mike_torso.st translated to .scr... this means they'll never be able to fire 2 weapons simultaneously, no matter how stupid the actual AI logic is :)
I'll be finishing exams in two weeks time so a new beta around that time would be nice :wink:
