im getting real pissed off with my mapping in the mapper i can see all textures fine... with no gaps (in walls etc) but when i compile and play there are gaps and textures missing.
what can i do to sort this out...?????
its the only thing from stopping me from finishing and releasing a few maps
hm bit plastered but if ur textures show in radiant then they wouldhave to show in game as u alreayd have those textures in main directory, if they are showing as void or black.....i dunno what causes this but ive had it before, make sure u got nothing filtered delete that brush n anything else that maybe there and redo it.
the textues are missing from one side of the brush.... one side its fine.... the other side it is just blank
i have tried to re-texture the whole brush but it is still playing up... im not sure if it could be because i have the compiler on fast for vis and light options
ill get some screen shots so i can show you what i mean
do u have color depth on 16 bit? if u do change it to 32 and if u see the hall ofmirrors thats what happened to me once n i solved it by deleteing the brush and redoing it..
the first image is from radiant the next is from the game
i had the same problem in the same places before..... i deleted the brush.... then drew another one textured it..... and now i dont just have the problem on the texture not showing up i also sometimes have the old brush showing.... notice the different shape in these to pics
as the last pics above show.... in radiant i have one brush.... and i cant selected the one that i deleted.... but in mohaa the old (DELETED) one shows up
i have tried snaping it to grid (Ctrl g)..... retexturing the brush..... deleting the brush and drawing a new one..... i dont know what else to try apart from move the building/wall to another spot (move it 8 units and try it there)
Your screenshots are not showing up, but missing faces are a vis problem. Try moving the missing face one unit from its curent grid plane, and make sure it is on the grid lines--if not, cut it, or use "snap points to grid".
