Detail probs

ok, the vis on my compiling takes way too long and i heard that you can reduce it by makeing stuff into detail, right? the only prob is that when i do that it makes the detailed brush disappear, wat am i doing wrong?

What that did was to un-filter detail. If you have things filtered out of your view, it will say so at the very top the editor's window in the title bar.

yeah, when i decompiled maps, it looked like HUNDREDS of brushes were missing, but i only had the detail filter on...
