Radiant issues

Post by antivirus »

Alright boys and girls, i have a question about reinstalling Radiant. I do it, but the problems I get are still there. One includes the grid mentioned in a thread below, and a few other things.

My main question is:
Are there any registry values that you know of? I want to delete these so it thinks it was installed for the first time. It seems as if the program remembers my settings even after it was deleted. Or else: is there a "restore all to default" button or something.

Thanks,
ANtivirus

Yes, radiant does store some data in the registry. The exact path varies depending on your version of windows, but it will be something like: HK_USERS/../Software/MOHAA/Radiant/ .

Just do a search for "radiant" in regedit, and delete the relavent keys.

wait wait wait, i've wanted to know this for a long time now, i screwed up my Rad a while ago and have been tying to live without clicking on entities for ages, i'm almost ready to strangulate whoever made that setting.

which thing did you change? i found the radient registry under MOHAA but it has a few toolbar settings and then settings, internal, and preferences. i dont get a list of junk that's in those, and i dont know what it's called. :?

I think I had same problem once. You cannot select models in 3d or 2d view? just go to preferences, check the "wide toolbar" box and you will see more buttons just comin out of nowhere. One of them (a red cross I think) has to be pressed in order to be able to select models again.

LOLOLOL

Well it's nice to help people, now you feel just the way I felt when I had the same problem for 2 weeks and finally got the solution from a friend!

I guess mapping is easier now

When I had this problem the only way I had to select models was to go to edit/entity info, search for the correct model for hours, click the select button and then I was able to move it over the map... crazy huh?
