Caulk vs, Nodraw
Hi, I'm sure this has already been covered but I couldn't find it.
I've got entities leaking through caulk and I wondered if nodraw will imitate caulk in that the face is not drawn but stop the leak. Is that possible?

blank_lightmap
There is a texture called "common/blank_lightmap" that looks just like caulk in the editor. But, it does not work like caulk. If you have that texture in your map, replace it with "common/caulk" texture.

I'm positive it is caulk but I'll check anyway. Although, that brings me onto another question, what is the difference between all of the caulks?

Well my friend I tell you both ones will make invisible wall!! I used to agree with you until I got told about the common/blank_lightmap texture.Ezykeyal wrote:No that is what nodraw does, hence the name...no draw.![]()
Try it out, make a wall with caulk and no draw and feel the magic of the invisible wall.
I was using that one by mistake instead of caulk!
If you still see your surfaces textured with caulk in your game, you have to replace the texture. You will see compile time will decrease, also. It happened to me 2 days ago
